Preschool Details: Project Head Start is a federally funded, comprehensive child development program serving young children and their families. For the Head Start Program, the child must be three (3) years after October 1 of the school year. However, children turning three (3) after the school cut-off date may enroll should the program have a vacancy. Project Head Start operates half-day sessions Monday through Friday during the WKU academic year. Morning sessions are from 7:30am to 12:30pm. Afternoon sessions are from 12:30pm to 5:30pm.
Age Requirements: 3 to 5 years old
How to Apply: Applications for enrollment are available at both WKU Child Care Centers. Instructions for completing the WKUCCC enrollment application can be found on page three of the application. Staff are also available to provide assistance in completing the application. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year and children will be enrolled as space is available. When space is unavailable or to try to accommodate an unusual schedule, children may be placed on a waiting list. WKUCCC cares for children and families from all racial, religious, national and cultural groups as well as children with disabilities and those who speak languages other than English. The completed form and required documents can be returned between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm to the Campus Child Care Center or Bryant Way Center.
