Preschool Details: Head Start: Provides comprehensive child development services to 3 to 5 year old children and their families to prepare them for success in public school and beyond. Early Head Start: Provides early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development and family support services on a year-round basis to children under age three and pregnant women.
Eligible Requirements: Families must meet income guidelines established by the Department of Health and Human Services. Children must be three to five years old for Head Start and birth to three years old for Early Head Start. Families must live in the four county service areas.
Age Requirements: Birth to 5 years old
How to Apply: You must bring the following documents to the interview: Proof of 2017 Family* income (W-2/1040, Child Support, TANF/SSI payments, etc.; Proof of child's birth (Birth Certificate, Passport, etc.); Child's S.C. Certificate of Immunization; Documentation of applicant's disability (if applicable); Pregnant Women applicants must provide income and proof of insurance.
