Preschool Details: The ELC Wilmington offers programs for children 6 weeks to 3 years old who are enrolled in the New Directions Early Head Start Program. The building includes the following spaces for children: Spacious classrooms equipped with age-appropriate educational materials, furniture, climbing equipment and self care furnishings; Large classroom windows allowing a lot of light to enter the center; Secure entrances on both sides of the building; Full-service kitchen for meal and snack preparation; Indoor space for gross motor movement; Outdoor courtyard for active play and exercise.
Eligible Requirements: Eligibility of a child for any Early Head Start program is based on the following: age of the child and family income level or categorical eligibility such as foster care status, homelessness or family enrollment in a public assistance program.
Age Requirements: 6 weeks to 3 years old
How to Apply: For the age of child, one of the documents: Child’s birth certificate; Hospital card; Medicaid card; Passport / visa. For the income verification, one of the documents: Individual income tax form; W-2 from all places of employment; A letter documenting receipt of Public Assistance, Child Support or SSI; Pay stubs; Bank statements - documenting the direct deposit; NDEHS - Zero Income Documentation completed by a family member providing support
