Home-based services are provided for 60 families by six home visitors. The families are comprised of pregnant women and families of children birth to three. These families receive weekly visits and emphasis is placed on the parents being their child’s first and primary educator. Home-based services have been expanded with recent funding to focus on lower Kent County. A parent committee is formed from the families of both center based and home based programs. This committee meets regularly and hosts speakers on topics based on the needs and interests of the families. In addition, parent-child groups are planned frequently throughout the year.
