This center base service is a universal pre-k classroom serving children 4 years old as well as children who may be 3 years old with an IEP. This center operates from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday operating in conjunction with the public school calendar year. Transportation is provided at this location. Early childhood professionals support the early learning environment designed to engage children in activities that promote social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language skills. Our family service staff provide the added support to link to families to community resources to meet their individual needs and support the entire parent group in their involvement with their children's learning experience while at Head Start. Children receive nutritious meals and snacks while at the center and our staff support families to ensure children are properly immunized for their age and receive all well-child visits according to the appropriate health schedules. Children who may have special needs are encouraged to participate in the family services wrap-around classrooms while a partnership is formed with the local school systems in the respective counties to provide additional support for children who may qualify.
