WAGES Head Start & Early Head Start are quality comprehensive child and family development programs that serve infants and toddlers, preschool children ages three to five and their families. The ultimate goal of WAGES Head Start & Early Head Start is to ensure that children enter kindergarten prepared to succeed and to give parents the tools they need to guarantee their child’s success. The program offers center-based as well as home-based services. All centers are four and five star rated. Three of our centers are nationally accredited by NAEYC. In addition to its focus on early education, WAGES Head Start also provides an array of health, dental, nutritional, and family services. As parental involvement is a strong component of the Head Start philosophy, the program works in partnership with the entire family. As part of its federal mandate, WAGES Head Start/Early Head Start is required to serve children with disabilities. A minimum of 10% of children enrolled must be diagnosed with a disability. WAGES proudly serves children with special needs in inclusive, child-centered environments with well trained and nurturing staff. The program prides itself on being a community leader in the local human service arena so that it can be an advocate for children and families and empower families to be advocates for themselves and their children.
