Head Start is a Federal program for young children from low-income families. The children who attend Head Start schools participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting. Head Start endeavors to help all children succeed. The NHPS Head Start program works to meet high standards for delivering quality services to children and their families. Children participate in fun activities while developing positive social skills. Services are offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities.
