Preschool Details: CRT offers affordable, high quality, licensed child care and education for more than 1,100 children from six weeks to five years of age. Centers use the nationally-respected Creative Curriculum, so that all children enter kindergarten ready to learn and succeed. Brightly colored, modern classrooms offer an excellent learning environment. Skilled staff meet the needs of the whole child: educational, emotional, social and health. Children with physical or emotional disabilities are welcome. All preschool children receive vision, hearing, dental and other screenings. Healthy meals and snacks are provided for free. Families have access to all CRT services. Staff help parents set and meet their goals. Parents can volunteer in classrooms, take workshops, participate in family activities and serve on the committees that help to run our program. Class schedules vary by program. Most classrooms are open 7 hours per day, 10 months per year. If you’re working, in school or in job training, you may prefer a longer daily schedule in a year-round classroom. Choose a schedule that meets your family’s needs. Staff speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Eligible Requirements: Eligibility is based on the child’s age and household income. Some programs are free. Others charge fees on a sliding scale, based on family size and income. Requirements vary by program. Immigration status or a lack of Social Security numbers or Birth Certificates are not barriers to enrollment. CRT also works with families who are homeless, children in the care of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and those in foster care.
