Preschool Details: The Armstrong County Community Action Agency Head Start program is a federal program that promotes the school readiness for children 3-5 years of age from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Head Start families must fall within 100%-130% of the Poverty Guidelines to be eligible. The Head Start program provides comprehensive services to 212 enrolled children and their families which include health, nutrition, social and other services in addition to education and cognitive development services. Head Start services are designed to be responsive to each child and family’s ethnic, cultural and linguistic heritage.
Eligible Requirements: Children 3-5 years of age; Head Start families must fall within 100%-130% of the Poverty Guidelines to be eligible.
