Preschool Details: Indiana County Head Start offers a center- based program option for children ages 3-5. Services are provided in a classroom setting five days a week for 3 1/2 hours to 7 hours a day. Each classroom is staffed by a teacher and assistant teacher/bus monitor. Nutritious meals and snacks are provided. Each family receives at least two home visits and two parent teacher conferences per year.
Age Requirements: 3 to 5 years old
How to Apply: When contacting us by email please include the following: Your name; Address; Telephone number; The best times to contact you; Your child's name; Your child's birthday. When you contact us, basic family information will be taken then an appointment will be scheduled to complete the application. Please bring with you to the appointment: Proof of income; Verification the the child's date of birth. Once the application has been completed, a letter will be sent to the home stating whether your family is income eligible for the program or if the income has exceeded the guidelines. Your child will be placed on a waiting list where children are prioritized by age and need. During enrollment Head Start must accept all income eligible four and three year old children first before anyone exceeding the income guidelines is considered.
