Preschool Details: Head Start is a comprehensive early childhood development program serving low-income children from ages three to five and their families. Head Start is a federally funded program that is operated by local entities. Children who attend Head Start participate in a school-readiness curriculum that includes literacy, language, science, mathematics, and social-emotional development. They also receive medical and dental screenings, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing safely indoors and outdoors.
Eligible Requirements: Eligibility into the program is based on the income guidelines shown below, as well as other qualifying factors. Families must also live within the serving areas of the program. Many factors are taken into account when determining eligibility, and due to a limited number of openings, some families may be placed on a waiting list until space is available
