Preschool Details: The Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive, year-round, child and family development services to income eligible pregnant women and families with children birth to three. These services are provided in two ways, Home based program and Center based program. The Head Start program provides comprehensive child development services to economically disadvantaged children and families, with a special focus on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school. The Head Start program promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. We engage our parents in their children's learning and help them in making progress toward their educational, literacy and employment goals. Significant emphasis is placed on the involvement of parents in the administration of the Head Start program.
Eligible Requirements: To be eligible income must be at or below the federal guidelines.
Age Requirements: Birth to 5 years old
How to Apply: To begin the application process you may call 717-263-8019 or fill out the application form to reach our recruitment specialist. Once you submit the form you will be contacted within 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. When arriving at your appointment please have the following documents with you: Proof of household income (3 current paystubs, W2-2015, Tax return-2015, Social Security, TANF, Unemployment, Child Support, etc); Child's birth certificate; Social Security Card; Shot Record; Medical Insurance Card; Court Custody paper (where applicable).
