Preschool Details: Head Start is for the whole family. Capstone's Head Start and Early Head Start child development programs provide early care and education services for low-income children. Your involvement, as a parent, plays a big part in shaping your child's future. We support parents in achieving their own goals by providing leadership opportunities, trainings, information and referrals. Head Start serves families with children ages 3-5. Early Head Start serves pregnant women and children birth to age 3 and their families. Our staff help you identify your family goals and then help you find the resources you need to achieve success. We connect you with quality programs and services at no cost to you: Early childhood education; Parent education and training; Family health and nutrition resources; Access to physical and mental health services; Family literacy activities; Parent leadership opportunities; Service coordination for children with disabilities; Recreational outings with other families.
Eligible Requirements: Pregnant women and families with children aged birth to 5 years in Washington, Lamoille and Orange Counties. Eligibility is based on income guidelines. Families experiencing homelessness or with a child in foster care, those receiving public assistance (TANF) or supplemental security income (SSI) qualify for services regardless of income. Children with disabilities are always welcome.
